What is your story?

  • We start by looking inward—revisiting the moments, people, and experiences that shaped you.

  • Now, we organize your reflections into a story that’s clear, authentic, and powerful.

  • Finally, it’s time to give your story a voice. This final step guides you to share with confidence and purpose.

Welcome

A celebration of culture, community, and belonging. The book ‘Welcome’ invites readers into the vibrant world of the Doris Henderson Newcomers School, where immigrant and refugee students from around the globe share their voices, traditions, and stories. Through words and imagery, this small coffee table book reminds us that there are many ways to say welcome—and every one of them matters.

Endorsed by acclaimed poet Nikki Giovanni, this book is both a keepsake and a conversation starter for anyone who believes in the power of diversity and human connection.
